For nearly 30 years, the AKA has had a Cricket Club, the Crusaders, competing in the Parramatta District Cricket Competition.  Over this time, the Club has had many senior and junior teams representing our Kfarsghab Association and has proudly won several premierships in what is arguably Sydney’s toughest amateur cricket competition.  The Club is administered by a small but passionate group of volunteers led by much loved Club Secretary Joe “Chips” Abood, who plays, captains a team and coaches junior teams.

This year has been yet another successful year for the Crusaders, with 4 teams making their way through to last weekend’s semi-finals.  The Under 13 Juniors and the Grade B14 Seniors were triumphant, however the B3 and B4 Senior teams were unlucky to miss a place in the Grand Final.

The Under 13’s are coached by the evergreen Club Founder Simon Boulous, who has coached junior cricket for 35 years.  Also supported by Jake Abraham, the Under 13 boys had a huge win over arch-rivals Kings Langley to make it into the Grand Final this weekend.  Surprisingly, the B14 team won their Semi Final on forfeit and will also play the Grand Final, fresh and raring to go.

The Grand Final matches are on this weekend (Saturday 19th / Sunday 20th March 2016) and supporters are very welcome.

  • The Juniors (Under 13’s) will play Kellyville from 8:30am on Saturday at Bernie Mullane Oval, Marella Ave, Kellyville.
  • The Seniors (B14’s) will play arch rivals, Kings Langley from 1:30pm on Saturday at Granville Park.
